Welcome

Psi chapter prides itself on decades of active campus involvement and leadership opportunities its members have parlayed into professional success. Based on its core values, “Love, Labor, Learning and Loyalty,” women who have joined Psi of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority have experienced a lifetime of sisterhood flowing with love as they strive to promote the highest type of womanhood. Generations of Gamma Phi Beta women have used the core values and legacy of service set forth by its four founders to achieve success in their lives.

It is important for us to communicate with our alumnae. Newsletters are sent out twice a year containing information about Psi chapter. The newsletter Psi Sooners supports the OU Chapter directly and is published by the House Corporation Board. Psi Sooner membership fees go towards house innovation and renovation projects requested by the active membership. Glimpses of Psi, a newsletter published by a Kansas City group, also provides news of Psi. When funds are sent to this group, they are used to perpetuate that organization and newsletter.

Our intent is to keep this web site updated as well as send emails to those sisters who are interested in updates throughout the year. We are currently creating an alum email list to send quarterly updates on chapter activities. To be added to this list please send an email to gphib@gammaphibeta-ou.org.

Reunions

Read the “Gamma Phi Beta Celebrates 90 Years” News Release – by Kari Culp

Wow! Can you believe it? Psi Chapter turned 90 years old on September 18, 2008! At the University of Oklahoma on September 18, 1918, Eleven women began Psi Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta. Since that time, many women have joined the bonds of Psi sisterhood, over 2300! We are so ever grateful to our original founders, Helen M. Dodge, Frances E. Haven, E. Adeline Curtis and Mary A. Bingham, for creating our cherished sorority. But we are also appreciative of the charter members of Psi Chapter for forming Gamma Phi Beta at the University of Oklahoma, a place that was and always will be our “home.”

The crescent moon always will remind every Gamma Phi Beta sister of the growth of our Sorority and their true and constant friends…

If you are interested in planning a reunion for your pledge class or for Psi on the OU campus, please send an email to gphib@gammaphibeta-ou.org.
